Lanier Mansion Row
The Lanier Mansion is definitely the most famous, but we also give it the nod for the most beautiful. However, there are plenty of gorgeous and ornate homes within just a few blocks.
The Broadway District
Encompassing the stately homes on Third Street all the way up to the Broadway Fountain, some of Madison's best tree-lined streets are in the Broadway District!
Antique Alley
Anchored by two great antique shops (River West and Lumber Mill) and a repurposed apartment complex, Antique Alley has a mix of grand homes and small beauties that dot the streets like colorful artwork.
Michigan Drive & The Hilltop
As you approach the drive up to the hilltop for Hobby Lobby, Lowe's, or to try one of Madison's many Mexican food joints, you pass some fantastic homes. Many perched on hills overlooking the river valley.
If you've been to Madison, you've noticed our jaw-dropping architecture, distinctive neighborhoods, and unabashed patriotism (there are American flags everywhere). With more than 133 blocks of beautifully preserved and restored architecture, Madison’s downtown is nothing short of a national treasure. Travel America raved “Madison is an outdoor museum of architecture.” And USA Today's Readers' Choice Awards named us the #1 Small Town in the Midwest. Madison Getaways has assembled 50+ of our most beautiful homes. Of course, it's subjective. But we think you'll agree with most and enjoy the photos!

Main Street Corridor
It doesn't get more iconic than Main Street Madison for many visiting this historic town. However, many of the most beautiful structures are businesses, not homes! But here are some of the best.
